LA Shorts Fest has announced the complete list of award winners for 2022 festival, which took place in Los Angeles (CA, United States) from July 4-31.
LA Shorts International Film Festival (LA Shorts) ranks among the most prestigious and largest international short film festivals in the world. The festival is accredited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and award winners are eligible for Academy nomination. LA Shorts is also an official qualifying event for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) short film awards. and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television (ACCT) presenters of the Canadian Screen Awards – eligible international film festivals. An official qualifying film festival by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain Goya Awards.

LA Shorts is an Academy Award® qualifying festival for the short film categories. Winners of Best of Fest, Best Foreign Film and Best Animation will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film/ Live Action Short Film / Documentary Short Film categories of the Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy Rules.
