ANIMAL by Cyril Dion won the Young Audience Award (YAA) 2022

ANIMAL by Cyril Dion (France) has won this year's Young Audience Award 2022! The winner has been revealed during the online award ceremony on Sunday evening in Erfurt (Germany), hosted by youth council members Maria from Portugal and Emmerson from the UK. The show was streamed live on the YAA website. The Award honours European films for an audience between 12 and 14 years and has been an official category of the European Film Awards since 2012.

European Film Academy launches the Month of European Film to celebrate the dynamic of European Film Culture

At the opening of the Seville European Film Festival today, the European Film Academy introduces the Month of European Film as Europe's own film and award season. Starting on 13 November, it celebrates the diversity of European film for four weeks until its grand finale on 10 December with the European Film Awards in Iceland.
